It gives him a chance to really take in his adversary (?). Hard to imagine this guy working for Hydra, and he can’t figure out why they’d resort to brainwashing about angels. But, then again, he’s pretty new to the whole idea of thinking about his own experience with brainwashing, so there’s always room for improvement and, uh, enlightenment. Still, what he says gets under Bucky’s skin no matter how much he tries to keep from it and he grits his teeth, on the defensive again.]
