Bucky has to squeeze his eyes shut hard against the sting of them, Adam's apple bobbing as he swallows to steel himself. Not fast enough to miss her smile, and he hurts with how much he seems like he's seen it before. Many people share many features - that's one thing he's discovered after all this time.
